Saturday, June 13 at 4 pm
Halifax Choirs + South Shore Program
Nick Halley director & percussion
Vanessa Halley Girls Choir director
Paul Halley organ and piano
Come hear the end-of-season concert of the Capella Regalis South Shore Program choristers, joined by members of the Halifax Men, Boys, and Girls Choirs! The program will feature many wonderful arrangements by Paul Halley including "The Song of Wandering Aengus" (a beautiful setting of W.B. Yeats' poem "The Golden Apples of the Sun" based on a traditional Irish melody) and "Laudate Dominum" (the text of Psalm 150 dances to a Northern Brazil tune in this lively, rhythmic setting). The choirs will also sing highlights from their latest CD, Songs of the Sea, for a mix of classical and distinctly Maritime music.
Join us for an uplifting afternoon concert in the lavish setting of Lunenburg's heritage church.
