Capella Regalis will sing the Sunday Morning Choral Eucharist at St Martin-in-the-Fields, joined by guest organist Paul Halley. The service will feature special hymns, anthems, and psalms for Trinity.
Founded in Nova Scotia by director Nick Halley in 2010 to build upon the best aspects of the centuries-old European tradition of church choirs and to revitalize this method of music training in Canada, Capella Regalis now comprises a Boys Choir, Girls Choir, and professional Men's Choir. They regularly sing Choral Evensong and special choral services at the Cathedral Church of All Saints, Halifax. They also perform concerts in a busy September-June season. Capella Regalis has released five CDs, most recently Songs of the Sea (June 2025), as well as many online performance broadcasts.
Special thanks to Jack Hattey, Director of Music, at St Martin's, for having us!
This event is part of Capella Regalis's 10-day Quebec and Ontario Tour. The choir also sings a concert the evening before, Saturday May 30 at 7:30 p.m. at St Martin-in-the-Fields. Concert information here.
